Rotorua Team News and Information
This is where we will post news and information relating to taking a team to the National Summer Games in Christchurch, from the 10th -14th December 2025.More information will be posted here as it comes to hand. Update (April) - Logo added, team number corrected and flights booked.
The team will now fly down on Tuesday 9th December and back on Monday 15th December, from and to Rotorua and Tauranga. On our Links page, under the Main Menu, is a link to Special Olympics NZ's official NSG 2025 website which has more information about each sport and venue plus the schedule.
Our team was announced at our prizegiving at the end of last year. It includes athletes who are non-travelling reserves, meaning they will only be part of the team if they are asked to replace a team member who cannot go. Official entries are due in by July but changes can be made up until October. Usually there is a cut off date in October after which no more changes can be made. We are taking a team of 55.
